Many relocation customers haven’t finalized their destination. Some are waiting for homes to be built, some are moving into apartments which can’t accommodate all of their belongings, and some just need extra space.
Olympic Movers offers long and short term storage options. Our warehouse can accommodate a variety of storage items. Upholstered furniture is shrink wrapped for added protection. Our facility is sanitized and heated in the winter. Your property is accessible with 24 hours notice.
Vaulted storage
Storage of furniture, electronics, pianos, and other items are stored safely and efficiently using a system known as vaulted storage (or professional storage).
A vault is a storage container 5-feet wide x 6-feet tall x 7-feet long -- it holds about a room's worth of furniture. An average home needs 4 to 8 vaults. We use as many or as few as needed. Our warehouseman lists every item on an inventory then wraps the items in moving blankets and places them in our vaults.
We can remove one side of the vault temporarily, completely fill it up then put the side back on (so the whole space is used.) Using a forklift, we stack the vaults in our warehouse, making it a very efficient use of space, which is why our storage costs are so reasonable.
We shrink-wrap sofas, recliners and other large items and set them in our rack storage so nothing touches them.

Climate Control
The temperature in our warehouse gradually rises and falls during the year, maintaining a humidity level consistent with a home in Western Washington. We have found that this is the best way to store furniture, pianos, electronics, and historical furnishings. We can store items safely for as long as needed.
